The only downside is the cord length; I wish it were longer to eliminate the need for an extension cord. You’ll have to supply your own power brick, but it’s definitely worth it. While it has turned bedtime into playtime with the child wanting to chase the dinosaur projections, it’s so much fun to use in a tent, and we’ve created some wonderful memories with this fantastic light. The durability is impressive, the colors are bright, and its lightweight design makes it perfect for travel.

I bought it for my two-year-old, and his first reaction when we turned it on was a delighted “woah” followed by excitement as he tried to catch the images on the walls. He absolutely loves it! The projector comes with two picture discs, but I must warn you: when both are inserted and you plug it in, it may seem broken because only a small amount of light gets through. I initially thought mine was defective, but it turns out it was just user error. Once I removed the disc with cars and buses and used only the dinosaur one, it worked perfectly! My only complaint is that I wish the power cord were longer, so I wouldn’t need an extension cord. You do need to provide your own power brick, but we have plenty lying around, so that wasn’t an issue. Plus, it can run on batteries if you choose not to plug it in. It’s definitely worth the purchase, though it has turned bedtime into playtime since he can’t resist chasing after the dinosaurs!

But after reading the instructions, I realized you need to use only one of the two films at a timeâone for unicorns and the other for stars. Once you do that, the shapes become clear. You also have to use the buttons to select colors and switch between projector and night mode. Itâs not pricey, but itâs adorable!
