Sean Astin, famous for his role in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, portrays the leader of a band of misfit boys who decide to take matters into their own hands and thwart the terrorists’ plans. Initially, he thought the title “Toy Soldiers” sounded too childish, but his opinion changed as he watched it. When he spotted Sean Astin, he exclaimed, “It’s Bob!” (referring to Bob Newby from Stranger Things). That hooked him, and he genuinely enjoyed the movie. It has definitely stood the test of time. Just let your kids know Bob Newby is in it!
