While it is a bit costly for a stuffed toy, I found it for a reasonable price on Amazon compared to local stores that were charging double or triple. The stove is primarily made of cardboard, with the top and handle being plastic, allowing for repeated use. The toy’s warm sounds and “babble” can be reset, making it more than just a one-time novelty. As the initial excitement has faded, the oven has since been repurposed as a kitchen for 18″ dolls and stuffed animals.

To get it to work again after initial use, the switch on the animal needs to be reset to “off” and then “on,” but this isn’t mentioned anywhere. Additionally, the mechanical switch and lifting the plate for subsequent uses are too difficult for kids to manage. Lastly, the oven’s walls are made of cardboard, which can easily come off by accident.
